THE HAUNTED – new album “Versus” out NOW! Dolving explains album title – video available!

“Versus”, the highly anticipated new album by Sweden’s metal innovators THE HAUNTED is now available all across Europe! The album has been released as CD, LP (incl. the album on CD as bonus) as well as a special Limited Edition CD-Box package. This CD-Box (with alternative packaging artwork pictured above) includes the normal album plus a special 4-track bonus CD (entitled “Collateral Damage”), a double-sided poster, an exclusive sticker as well as a THE HAUNTED guitar pick. The bonus tracks included in the limited edition CD-Box of “Versus” were also recorded during the album sessions and are as follows: “Seize The Day”, “Narcotic”, “Versus” (instrumental) and “Devolve”. 15 years of Hate Squad

German H8 Core veterans knew already in the early 90s what aggressions could be set into music if you mix Thrash and Death Metal with Hardcore. They were one of the bands making this style huge by playing on all of the big festivals over Europe , for example Dynamo, Wacken Open Air and With Full Force, and having some of their biggest hits like "Not My God" and "I.Q. Zero" run on Heavy Rotation on Viva Metalla and MTV´s Headbangers Ball. Well deserved Hate Squad were voted as "Newcomer Of The Year" on Viva Metalla in 1995.Due to their 15th band anniversary in 2008 Hate Squad will present their new studio album "Degüello Wartunes" which was recorded in the Rape Of Harmonies Studios (Heaven Shall Burn, Maroon, Narziss among many others) end of 2007. Besides the fact that it´s one of the strongest Hate Squad album ever, where the band manages to combine the spirit of the good old "Not My God" and "I.Q. Zero" times with a modern up to date sound the album features guest vocals by Marcus Bischoff from Heaven Shall Burn and Maintain´s Timo Böhling and Julian Tamke on several tracks . A Day With Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds (03.05.08 @ Dublin Castle)

11.30 am On the Saturday morning I made my way to the luxurious Fitzwilliam hotel in Dublin where Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds had just arrived the night before. The place was really calm. I went directly to the bar which was empty and decided to settle at a table in a corner and started to prepare my things. As I was switching on my laptop I realised that I could not connect to the internet.
I got up and asked the barmaid for a glass of water while I could see Mick Harvey standing at the reception looking for me. We had planned to meet the next time he was in Dublin. I arranged to be there by 12 am. We were both on time. More >
